I took a trip down the memory lane to check back on my old 3-D renders, and... here goes.
3D doesn't age well, and the fact that I was never very good at it doesn't help either. Still, I thought I'd show you that I also dabbled in this form of digital art (*cough* if you can call it art *cough*). It's nowhere near the 3D titans of DeviantArt, but then again... The fact that you can more or less imagine what I was trying to achieve in each render is something that I'm proud of.
The titles are (from top left to bottom right hand corner) : The Fallen, The Dryad, The Eternal Sculpture, The Underwater Chase. Pretentious, I know.
I used 3D Studio Max, Vue d'Esprit and Poser - it was before I started to use legal programs only.
You can notice the model reuse between #2 and #3 (the pose is diferent, but it's the same model). And if you ask why I had put them together, the answer is : I didn't think they deserved attention separately.
I don't know *anything* about 3D modeling, but I think the textures here are nice. The best one I think is "The Eternal Sculpture" -- it is evocative and surreal, and the lighting works well. The dryad makes me think of a zombie!
Most of the textures are the ones already available in the programs, after some tinkering (but I was proud of the wings textures though, 'cause I made it myself).
I have to admit that from the point of 3D art (especially at dA level) these images are crap, but they give idea what I was aiming at, and that's already something.
I know it is imperfect, but shows what I was trying to achieve. Maybe even got some mood? Still, the comment is very much appreciated.
I had a look at your gallery - you have some really good works there (Mujer made me think of Terry Pratchett and Paul Kidby's style - did you draw it with pencil?).
yes, all my drawings are made whit a pencil, "Lapiz bic" its a black tint pencil, the line that it draws its very thing.
I dont now how are made the 3D works, and your work look in a god way.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
A Zen feature for you restless souls out there. A collection of specially selected photographs from nov - des, show them some love And remember, being an artist is not just about producing art, but about appreciating other peoples artwork to
